Purrs And Wags Sitters usually requires at least 7 days notice for new customers. During our busy times we do fill up fast, so if you are planning summer or holiday travel, we ask that you call as soon as you know your plans. We require an initial interview that usually lasts 45-60 minutes. This is necessary so that we can meet you and your pet(s), fill out our contract and other paperwork and pick up a key. You can check our credentials and references. This allows us time to interact with your pet(s) so that we are totally comfortable caring for them in your absence. Likewise it gives you time to feel comfortable with us caring for your pets and home when you are away. Occasionally, we will require a trial visit or 2 to be sure your pets and us are compatible before you leave town. These trial visits are usually done for some dogs and many pets that need critical medications. Our fees are based on the number of pets you have and the number of visits per day and in some cases the distance we must travel. When you arrive home we do insist on a confirmation call to let us know that your pets are once again under your care. You must call for a price quote as there are several variables that we must consider.
We will gladly water a few indoor or outdoor plants...however, if the watering time is excessive we will charge for the extra time involved as we will not short change the quality time spent with your pet(s)! Our committment is to provide the best care possible to your pets and protect your privacy while you are away.
We handle your pet(s) and home as a team. That way you have 2 PROFESSIONAL PET SITTERS available that know your pet(s) and the routine in case one of us becomes sick or injured. We also have an emergency plan in effect-just in case both of us are injured. This plan allows you to travel with complete confidence knowing that your pets are always our top priority!
We love all animals and provide top quality care for all pets. However, cats are often neglected in our society and with us you will never have that worry. We do cater to the most finicky felines. We are very aware of the behavior and health problems that cats can develop. So with us cats get the special care and attention they deserve. We also insist on visiting each pet at least once a day. This is for their protection. If you are looking for infrequent visits, we are not the company for you as we pride ourselves in only providing the best care possible and infrequent visits will not provide the best care.
When hiring a pet sitter look for one with experience, like our service. We have almost 12 full of service in this area. Many new companies start up each year and many go out of business each year. With us, you can rest assured that we will be around. We strive to develope close relationships with both your pets and yours. Purrs And Wags Sitters is not a large company-that way we can provide quality servce to all of our clients. We also are not the cheapest in the area so if price is the determining factor, we probably will not be the service you hire, but if you are looking for the finest in pet sitting at a reasonable price then we are the company for you.
Regardless of the hour your pet will be home to greet with a wagging tail and a purring heart!
