Our Dogs

This is Peanut. She is a Beagle with an attitude. Our daughter rescued her from owners that were going to shoot her. She was bred for hunting and had no instincts and worse yet, she disturbed the rest of the pack! She has been the most delightful pet, but she does have a stubborn streak.

Next we have Blaze. Our daughter and myself were on our way to Gatlinburg to plan her wedding. We saw this lanky red dog standing by the trash can along the entrance to the Smokey Mountain Parkway. So we stopped to see if the dog had tags or if we could see any people off hiking. Well no tags, no people, but someone had left her a bowl of water. So instead of going to Gatlinburg we headed home to give this dog some needed TLC and food. We were going to try and find her a home-but instead she found herself one-with us!

And then there was Jack-such a cute puppy! I found him wandering along side the highway in the northern part of the county on Halloween of 2002. Brought him home and fell in love and now he has become quite the handful. Just like a teenager.
