Linda and Tom Jones have been sitting for our three cats for over three years. Whether a long weekend or two weeks, Linda and Tom have always been there for us. They keenly observe any variations in our cat's habits and have provided advice on health issues. They are as conserned about our cats as if they were their own.

I am so very happy to recommend Linda and Tom Jones and Purrs And Wags Sitters. They have enabled me to be able to take vacation time and feel good that I am leaving my pets in their capable hands. Before I found them, it was almost impossible for me to leave home for longer than a day or two at the time.
I have three cats and five fish, but my older cat, Bud Light is diabetic and has to be given injections twice daily - around the same time every day. Linda always insures that this happens. She always checks with me regarding any dosage changes, etc. Linda also pointed me in the direction of sub-q fluids for Bud. My vet and I agreed that this was something that I can do at home for him. THANK YOU LINDA!

and Linda are highly qualified as pet sitters. Beginning with
the initial interview, we discussed each cat, their needs &
quirks and filled out the contract which included extremely important
information.
Now I just leave a message on their phone with the times of departure
and return for our trip, leave notes on kitchen countertop of
any changes in medicine and other necessary information and know
that my elderly surrogate children will be taken care of by professionals.
They can spot a problem with my diabetic 'child', her father who
has hyperthyroidism or her brother's colon problem and deal with
the situation as discussed in the interview and any subsequent
phone conversations. I especially appreciate the notes that Tom
& Linda leave for us detailing specifics of each visit. This
allows me to know how the cats behaved and to address any problems
that might have arisen when I call Tom & Linda to let them
know that we are safely home.

extraordinary commitment and professional performance in the care

...I have the most amazing cat, Ryan. He is a doll, but gets restless when boarded.
I travel extensively. Work keeps me home usually only 6-9 days per month including weekends. A friend introduced me to Purrs and Wags, and I tried them out for a mini-vacation. They were so friendly and helpful, that I use them for all of my trips and have not looked back. As a result, Tom and Linda have become almost permanent fixtures here. Ryan lights up every time he sees them, and almost forgives me for leaving him so often.

I am writing to applaud the superior pet-sitting service provided to us by Purrs and Wags Sitters. After our first disastrous experience with another pet-sitting service, we were hesitant to say the least, about trying again with a different service. Thankfully we did decide to risk trying one more time for a trustworthy, dependable pet sitter because that was when we discovered Purrs and Wags. We are now able to actually enjoy going on vacation knowing our cat is in the best of hands. Having one less thing to worry about while away is worth its weight in gold. We even find our cat disappointed at our return-which leads us to wonder just who had the vacation....

Both Linda and Tom are professionally mannered, are familiar with pet medicine and terminology and understand both pet and adult psychology. They make every effort to ensure any pet is fed, waterer, and kept both clean and healthy.
Late in October my husband and I were notified that my Mother was rushed to the hospital. The night we arrived in Atlanta, my mother died. Linda and Tom were simply wonderful. On a moment's notice, they looked after our animals and our home for approximately three weeks. All this they accomplished without any hesitation or question. I can never ever thank them properly or enough for their care, support, and sympathy during our time of bereavement.

I am writing this letter to recommend Purrs And Wags Pet Sitting Service. I have used their services several times and I am extremely pleased with their service.
I have an older dog that had the luxury of friends and family to baby sit him when I lived up North. After moving down South to the Greenville area, it was necessary I find a pet sitter. Naturally I was very particular since my dog is older and he has had only friends and family to watch him.
I met with the owners and right away I felt more relaxed about a pet sitting service. I was impressed by their professional qualifications, first aid, active membership associations and their ability to maintain a personalized touch to the business. They took the time to go over paperwork, emergency plans (something I had never thought of), met my pet, learned of his routine and took careful notes regarding food and medicine requirements.
After I started using Purrs & Wags I was most impressed with their careful notes they took while pet sitting. The notes they left were very helpful. I was able to relax knowing his medicine was administered and that he got exercise and was or was not eating. But more importantly, I was impressed that they go above and beyond feeding him and taking him out. Purrs & Wags is always insuring the dog's personal safety. They commented on open gates which could be potentially dangerous, and inquired about changing medicine requirements etc.
I am confident that should anything happen to my dog while I am away, that Purrs & Wags would know what to do and take care of him immediately. I feel that in addition to the professional care my dog receives, he is getting personal attention and a dose of love to make him feel more at home...in his home...where he is happiest.

Dear Tom & Linda,
Bill and I would be honored to give you a letter of recommendation. We have being doing business with you now for over two years and have been totally impressed. When we first met you we explained of the difficulties we had in getting our Golden Retriever, Cedar, to eat whenever we were out of town. All our friends and even my brother would work with her to try and get her to eat while they took care of her for us, but no one was ever successful. I remember onetime we were gone for a week and Cedar refused to eat until Thursday and then only a little bit. After we explained the situation to you both, you confidently told us you would take extra time with her on each of your visits and make sure she ate something.
We tried your services for the first time for a weekend. We were almost home and gave you a call to let you know we were on our way and you need not come for the evening visit. As your contract states you told us that was good, but please call again once we arrived home. We were very pleased to find detailed notes of what you had done for each visit. We especially were real pleased to find out that it took both of you on the floor hand feeding Cedar to get her to eat. Not that we expected you to be on the floor, but that you went to those extremes to get her to eat. After our first experience with your services we were totally sold out to the benefits of having a professional pet sitting service.
I'll be honest with you;
the phone call on the road was a test to see if you really did
do as your contract stated. The contract states you will still
make the pet visits until we call from our house to let you know
we have arrived home. When we called from Asheville, NC there
still was a chance that we could have been in a car wreck and
not made it home on time to take care of our "fur children".
Speaking of your contract, we were impressed with the professionalism
of the contract and the different aspects that could occur that
the contract covered. We had never thought about the problem of
us not arriving home on time. When we imposed on our friends to
take care of Cedar and Cleo, we would tell them what time we would
be back. We know for a fact that the friends would come in the
morning, but would never think to come back later on, since we
should have been home at the time we stated. With Purrs And Wags
Sitters we know that no matter what happens to delay us our pets
will be taken care of. You even have covered the areas of what
to do with our pets if we were to be killed while traveling, such
as who should be notified and who will take over the responsibility
of the care of the pets.
Another item that we never gave any thought to is the situation
that something may happen to a pet while we were away. You have
the credentials to administer first aid and are very well connected
to the best known veterinarians in the area. You have several
thought provoking questions dealing with the subject. Also your
list of items we need to leave on hand for your disposal while
we are away was another over sight we had when we used friends.
We had never thought to leave the dog's leash or the cat's carrier
out in case of an emergency.
Overall, we have to say your services are very professional, you obviously love and care for our pets and your constant association with other pet services and training is greatly appreciated. We have such a sense of peace when we have to go out of town, because we know our pets are in your very capable hands. We recommend your services to all our friends and everyone we meet that has a pet.
